Earthquake Hits Indonesia

Just to inform the loyal readers of this blog, an earthquake hit the Indonesian island of Sumatra (one of the main islands of the 13,000+ island archipelago) about 420 km (252 mi) from Singapore. Apparently many people felt tremors in Singapore, but I knew nothing of it until later today when one of my friends expressed similar surprise after hearing from someone else that there had been tremors. In any case, we (Jessica and I - and, well, the rest of the people on this island) are safe and sound and things are running quite smoothly in good ol' Singapore.
